Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a drone license to fly in Australia?

For personal, travel, and recreational filming, no license or operator accreditation is required in Australia as long as you follow standard CASA drone safety rules: keep your drone within visual line-of-sight, fly below 120m (400ft), and stay at least 30m away from other people. The DJI Lito X1 weighs under 250g, making it especially convenient and beginner-friendly.

What remote controller is included?

Both the DJI Lito X1 and DJI Mavic 4 Pro rental kits include a dedicated Smart Remote Controller with a built-in ultra-bright 5.5″ HD screen. No phone connection, extra cables, or phone battery drain is required. Simply power on the drone and controller, and you have instant live 1080p/60fps video transmission ready to fly.

Do I need to pay a security deposit?

No security deposit required. RentLizen uses Stripe for secure identity verification and card authorization. Your card is charged only for the rental period total at checkout—without freezing thousands of dollars in bond on your card.

How many batteries and flight time are included?

Every rental arrives as a complete Fly More production kit packed with 3 Intelligent Flight Batteries and a two-way fast charging hub. That delivers 90 to 135 minutes of total air time per session, plus a 128GB SanDisk Extreme PRO MicroSD card.

How does delivery and return work?

Free pickup in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth, with same-city 7/24h delivery, or express courier Australia-wide. DJI Mavic 4 Pro rentals of 14+ days include free courier delivery. Near your End date, we provide a prepaid Australia Post label—just place the drone inside its padded case and drop it off at any Australia Post outlet or post box.

What if bad weather or rain prevents flying?

If high winds or heavy rain prevent safe flights during your rental dates, contact RentLizen support before or during your booking. We are glad to extend or reschedule your rental dates or credit unused days according to our flexible weather policy.
